Brine Treatment & Purification
Treatment of brine is the key process to get high purity salt. Main advantages of brine treatment are as follows;
- Improvement of product purity
- Less downtime of the plant for cleaning
- Decrease in energy consumption of the evaporation/crystallization processes
Chemical treatment (lime-soda ash process etc.), ion-exchange technology or membrane technology can be applied to the brine.
Brine should be clear before entering the crystallization process. We have special lamella type clarifier design for salt processes.
